Symptoms Of Insomia
There are 12 main symptoms of Insomia. The first one is sleep problems such as difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep for long periods of time, nightmares, drowsiness etc. Sleep problems can be caused by several things such as sleeping area distractions, noise, extreme temperatures, poor ventilation, wrong type of mattress, hunger etc. Sometimes caffeine, alcohol, stress and anxiety are also related to sleep problems. These things can cause a person difficulty in falling asleep which is one of the most common symptoms of Insomia.

Another common symptom is Irritability which refers to feeling frustrated or annoyed. A person can be irritable due to several reasons such as stress, anxiety, inadequate sleep, emotional problems, depression etc. If you are not refreshed after a good night’s sleep, irritability becomes a common symptom.

Sometimes, people suffering from Insomnia wake up in the middle of the night or too early in the morning. This happens because many people with the disorder posses a lower physical drive for sleep. As and when people age, they sleep more lightly and for shorter periods of time. As a result some elderly people are restless in bed because their body no longer has any need for sleep. Insomia also causes irritability, restlessness and tension which make it even more difficult for a person to get some sleep. As a result, people might wake up during odd hours or much before they are scheduled to.
